RENCONTRES DU CIEL ET DE L'ESPACE - LA VILLETTE
The Rencontres du Ciel et de l 'Espace (the nce), initiated by the revue Ciel & Espace in 1998, is the great mass of astronomy in its broadest sense, from the practice of terrain (observation) to astrophysics (cosmology, exobiology, planetology), passing through through space conquest and astronautical discoveries. They take their neighborhoods every two years in pairs (2014, 2016, 2018, etc.) at the Cité des Sciences et de l 'Industrie, in the 19 th arrondissement of Paris, in the Villette.
The great strength of these meetings is that they combine everything that is done best (and often also interesting), in the field of astronomy through exciting conferences offered by renowned astrophysicists or world-renowned amateurs, as well as exhibitors and manufacturers of astronomical or assimilated material. The enthusiast spends its time between conferences, presentations, forums, round tables and stands where the latest news about astronomical glasses, telescopes (sometimes high tech!), cupola, or CCD cameras for sky imagery are presented. The Beast also counts, especially since its visit can be seen from a discovery of the city, its planetarium or its most spectacular geoarray. Exhibitions of the best night photographs are also presented, as well as atypical products (e. g. meteorites and fossils).
