An artistic establishment of the City of Paris, Le Centquatre, or 104, opened its doors in 2008. It is a place where artists from all disciplines work in residence: visual arts, performance, music, dance, theatre... In several areas of the site, they are invited to present their creations to the public, who can also discover exhibitions or attend various shows from elsewhere. On site are also artistic practice workshops for the inhabitants of the district, as well as catering facilities and shops located on either side of a large alley, sometimes covered and sometimes discovered.
