A popular Parisian park for strollers, notable for its kiosk known as the Temple de la Sibylle.

In this fast-changing part of the 19th arrondissement, the park is a real retreat for walkers wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of the area's dense automobile traffic. Located on a hillside, it was created during the Second Empire on the site of a former gypsum quarry by engineers Jean-Charles Alphand and Eugène Belgrand, and landscape architect Jean-Pierre Barillet-Deschamps. A tribute to Romantic ideals, the lake below is watered by a large waterfall, topped by a kiosk known as the Temple de la Sibylle. The latter was designed by Gabriel Davioud, inspired by an ancient structure in Tivoli, Italy. Access is by footbridge or bridge. Superb views guaranteed! Add to this a grotto with stalactites, small and large avenues lined with beautiful trees, sloping lawns to stretch out on, entertainment and facilities for children (rollerblade track, merry-go-round, puppet theaters...), as well as places to eat, including the very trendy Rosa Bonheur... Note also that sports enthusiasts like to come here to train, as the uneven terrain gets the calves working, and several races are organized in these avenues, mostly on Sunday mornings. Sport, culture, outings: it's hardly surprising that this park is such a hit, and has become one of the meeting points of north-eastern Paris.
