LE JACQUARD FRANÇAIS
It is in Gérardmer, a small town in the heart of the Vosges massif, with its rivers running out of the mountains, which was created in 1888 by the weaving workshops of Jacquard French. This geographical choice was linked to the ancestral textile tradition of that region. Today French Jacquard, specialising in High-end damask linen, offers his creations for the Table, Kitchen and Bath. " Jacquard "is a term of trade prior to the brand, designating a weaving technique and, by extension, a type of loom. Invented by Joseph-Marie Jacquard, which gives her his name, it allows the automation of the weaving of a damask fabric (fabric whose motifs are visible both on the spot and on the upside, the word «damask» from the city of Damascus in Syria, on the Silk road). This type of craft is powered by a programmed machine which commands, through a harness, a movement of elevation and lowering of the warp threads, allowing the weaving of many different reasons, which guarantees the richness of the result. In this perfectly arranged shop you will find all the collections of French Jacquard, which are no longer present: items for the table (tablecloths, napkins, table sets, table paths, small squares, tablecloths, towels), for kitchen (towels, glasses, hand towel, decks, towels/tabliers), for the bath (beach bed, towels and towels, bathrobes, gloves, towels/gloves). The products are always of excellent quality, refined designs and varied colours. All styles are represented. Tablecloths with vibrantly colors combine many more classics. The same goes for the towels and tabliers: traditional or contemporary designs will satisfy each one. The line makes the beautiful linen, perfectly surfaced, for surprisingly easy maintenance. A special hat blow to waxed table cloths that are very practical while still chic.
