Bistro in Paris offering a short menu of fresh products, tasty dishes and a summer lunch.

With this bistro, Braden Perkins and Laura Adrian have won over Anglo-Saxons and a clientele that appreciates an unusual cuisine. The menu is short, based on impeccably fresh produce. It gets longer for dinner. In a long room, with marble tables and parquet floor, the guests taste tasty and nicely prepared dishes, including, as a starter, the inevitable fried chicken dipped in ribot milk. In a more hexagonal style, they could continue with a summer lunch with a beef cheek-apple-topinambour or a duck-beetroot-red plums. Original sweet compositions, such as this tira-millefeuille-mascarpone-coffee-cocoa.

Just a complete shambles of pretentiousness this restaurant.

The menu is tiny and extremely limited, the food is decent but the portions are just comically small. The fact they are « sharing plates » is just hilarious.

The service is weirdly inconsistent, the initial interaction with the manager quite positive only to veer towards total incompetence as she got our order wrong then tried to charge us for something else we didn’t order and then blamed a co-worker for forgetting to pass on a drinks order which we saw her pass on!

Overall - I would totally avoid. When paying this prices you either expect knockout food, service, experience, decor or atmosphere and this place doesn’t have any of those but apparently a good rep.

The only positives were acknowledging the mess up with the order and knocking some drinks off the bill (which still came to €90 for two people, absolutely eye-watering given the lack of food on offer) and the wine list which was absolutely excellent.

We came in for anniversary dinner. Although the atmosphere and the service were great, the food was rather disappointing. Three of out four dishes we ordered to share (starters and mains) had too much salt.

Salty and slow service. Only 1 person working and forgot an item we ordered twice.

Use to be one of the favourite places to go.

I highly recommend against going to Ellsworth. I went after seeing it rated highly in a few instances.

The menu is tiny and the portions are tiny. They offered trout ceviche as a main (6 thin pieces of trout) and fried chicken which comes in a plate of 4 bites. How a high end place serve these as main dishes is beyond me.

And then a cold braised lamb to go with it.

All of which they charge high prices for of course.

Avoid this place at all costs.
