One of the institutions of Les Halles, Père Tranquille has existed since the 19th century, as evidenced by an engraving inside. Here, service is provided in traditional waiter's uniforms, with a large terrace. An upstairs dining room and a classic Parisian brasserie style are just some of the places you can settle in, facing the Forum des Halles. The à la carte menu is classic: burgers, tartare, salads, tartines and croques, and Auvergne platters are all on offer. Very busy at weekends, especially on the terrace!

Un bou de verre dans la creme du café gourmand, on m'a demandé de ne payer uniquement le café, mon ami a commandé un café, il a demandé au serveur s'il peut changer avec un café gourmand, il lui a dit ok garder le café je vous ramène le gourmand, et il lui a facturé un café gourmand et un café en disant qu'il ne pouvait pas annuler le café

Le service est au top. Par contre, l’équipe managériale n’est pas tendre avec son équipe de serveurs, qui leur parle mal devant les clients. Les conflits manager/salarié se règlent après le service et non en heure de rush. Comment voulez-vous qu’un salarié soit bien dans son travail si son manager revient à la charge sans cesse ?

A good bar to go if you're near Châtelet and looking for more of a classic French vibe. Two floors and a terrace. If you want a calm mood, go to the first floor. Compared to nearby bars, it is a bit overpriced.
