Restaurant-café in Paris elaborating a delicate roasted celery root/sunflower pods, chickpeas.

This Halle aux grains is an obvious entry point for those unfamiliar with the Bras family restaurant in Aubrac. On the3rd floor of the Bourse de Commerce, this restaurant-café has all the makings of a great place. On the plate, a succession of pleasures and emotions with seeds, sprouts and other cereals as a common thread. On the summer lunch menu: just-roasted sardines from Saint-Jean-de-Luz with their carrot purée, a melting piece of Cantal pig and, to finish, a mix of raw and cooked figs. An experience worth repeating... despite the cost.

Excellent menu dégustation aux saveurs originales. Les portions étaient satisfaisantes et le service très agréable. La vue est superbe et l'endroit vraiment beau. Un peu cher mais ça vaut le coup. Dommage de ne pas avoir pu remplacer le fromage cru par une option pasteurisé ou bien par un autre plat salé mais le dessert proposé en remplacement était incroyable donc c'est tout pardonné ????

I went twice to this place. Once dinner and another time lunch. Dinner service was very good. Well explained, timing between courses was good. Service was also excellent. But I don’t know whether it was intended to place three tables in a row with Asian. Anyway after I had a good experience, I decided to take my parents for lunch. Lunch was terrible. They were quick at getting an order and service was really quick. One of my favorite dishes was carried with a piece of sponge. I just cannot understand how a person who does service cannot notice that. It was shiny and big.

Then after finishing meals, I was trying to catch a guy to ask for a bill. He did not even look at our tables and ignore. So I had to go to the desk for asking a bill. They did not even ask how was the service. It seems just so busy and waiting for this to the end.

After this experience, I don’t think I would like to go again.

Réservation pour 3 couverts avec empreinte bancaire et multiples confirmations : table dressée pour 2 avec attente debout à côté table pour que ce soit prêt
Décor minimaliste donc exigeant : table noire mat avec traces « propres » de gras : désagréable / pas de nappe : bruits couverts table ++ : désagréable
Venue du sommelier malgré demande alors que premier plat chaud est déjà servi
Pas de retour du sommelier alors qu il est convenu de prendre 2 eme vin sur fin menu
Retrait pain par serveur autre que notre serveuse attitrée en pleine dégustation de fromages
Cuisson poisson et viande parfaite : aucun effet waouh sur accompagnements et donc sur plats
Aligot sec ! Un comble …

Belles vues de part et d autre de la salle

Bref très décevant sur fond et forme pour un menu dégustation a 95€ sans vin

Ma première expérience, fut pour la Bûche de Noël de La Halle aux grains 2023.
C'était une bûche noisette et Sarrasin, très joliment décoré, pour 4/6 personnes.

Très satisfait, nous reviendrons pour leurs prochaines créations
