HÔTEL MANSART * * * *
Hotel near the Opera district with rooms with the charm of old Parisian houses and a contemporary decor.
The Mansart hotel is ideally located at the corner of the prestigious Place Vendome, close to the Opera district, the Madeleine, the Louvre, the Jardin des Tuileries and the big stores. Its renovation was designed in tribute to the great Louis XIV's architect Jules Hardouin Mansart who is at the origin of the Versailles castle, the Invalides and the Vendome square. The decoration of the lobby is inspired by the famous drawings of "French gardens." The rooms with large windows, are decorated with old furniture. They have preserved the charm of an old Parisian residence of elegance and sophistication while having been redecorated in contemporary colors. A DVD player and a tray for courtesy are available on request.

Walkable to many of the Paris attractions including the Louvre.
The hotel was quiet, the staff extremely friendly and helped book airport transportation.
I should have taken pictures in the room. The rooms are super cute and feel very Victorian. The bathroom was modern and large by European standards.
Reserved the best suite in the hotel for a birthday. Upon arrival, we were told we had been upgraded. The room was not a suite. We were then told we would be reimbursed for their mistake, as the room they provided cost less than the Mansart Suite. We were denied reimbursement (once we were out of the country). Asked for champagne and flowers upon arrival. Not provided.
