LES GALERIES DU PALAIS-ROYAL
Created in 1786, the galleries of Montpensier, Beaujolais, Valois, Proues and the Garden are the «prototype» of the Parisian passages. These sumptuous galleries surround the gardens of Palais-Royal. The colonnades of other galleries, built inside them and disappeared since then, still remain for some - the columns of the gallery of Orleans are the most admirable. The memory of Colette still haunts the arches of the Royal Palace. And the artistic spirit too. This is why there are some art galleries on the famous square (Art Gallery, 2 place du Palais Royal, Galerie Arcadiane 2, place du Palais Royal, Louvre des Antiquaires under the arcades at 164, rue Rivoli). The other streets adjacent to the Galleries are: Castiglione Street, rue Véro Dodat, rue Richelieu, Faubourg Saint Honoré.
