The Gibson's Brothers, the Martinique trio that achieved a phenomenal success in many countries during the 1970s and 1980s, created this famous jazz club with eighty seats. Of this creation under Caribbean auspices remained the taste of Afro music, in the broad sense of the term. Jazz fusion style training is also offered. Some names of artists that marked more than two decades of hot music: Richard Bona, Angelique Kidjo, Monica Passos, Ultramarine, Les Étoiles, Sylvain Luc, Rido Bayonne, Étienne Mbappé, Mario Canonge, Nguyen Lê... And the adventure continues on the same rhythm. Take note: François Constantin the percussionist orchestrated the jam sessions on Monday.
Nevertheless, Baiser Salé is also a bar with terrace that is very appreciated for its generous happy hours. As it is located in a very busy street of the centre of the capital, you have to come earlier if you want to enjoy the terrace!

Le remplissage maximum de la salle est le nouvel objectif de la direction, loin bien loin de la promotion du jazz et des jeunes talents, que le baiser salé continue d’afficher… Le baiser salé devient un bar où les clients viennent picoler sur un fond musical, plus rien à voir avec le jazz club brillant qu’il a été.
Pour moi c’est terminé, pourtant client depuis 40 ans je ne remettrai plus les pieds dans ce sinistre endroit. Très déçu.
