In 1988, the Mayor of Paris, under the aegis of Pierre Emmanuel, decided to create this film forum - at the time the Paris Video Library - at the Forum des Halles to form the audiovisual memory of the capital. All year round, in its five rooms, cycles, festivals, masterclasses, afternoons for children, free cinema courses… There are 320,000 spectators every year for 2,000 meetings.
