Great hotel, perfect location

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Bar Le Charles was always accommodating for a drink before or after dinner. The pool and spa facilities were a nice addition to an already elevated hotel experience. Centrally located in the 1st, we would definitely stay there again.

Pretended 5-Star
Good on online chat but not in real.
Doormen are always lovely.
Reception never helps to follow room for a little bit early check in.
I asked for 1.30pm. Room was not ready, I accepted it. I said I had appointment to dress up well and go out at 3:15pm.
2.55p.m. I had to go back to the reception counter and the staff said she would call to check. She checked and Housekeeping would called back in 5 minutes. I waited for 5 minutes and went back to the counter … ‘no reply yet, please wait’. Then we got the room after 3pm with impression that if they had coordinated better and if they had paid attention to the guests better, they would let us know about room readiness before that time.

Lobby Bar & restaurant reception is so arrogant not friendly never smile never make us feel inviting. A male Junior staff or trainee walking around but didn’t dare to help or assist, just refer to bar & restaurant reception. One dish of Club Sandwich ordered at 1.50pm was served at 2.35p.m.

Room does not look as nice as picture.
No clock, no Bluetooth speaker. Bathroom shower door doesn’t fixed well. Shower hanger perching above toilet bowl-how to use???

Nearby construction and noise in the morning.

Wine poured from the bar. No bottle pouring as other 5 star.

Room includes breakfast but the staff was reluctant to tell what menu we can order even she knew what we are entitled to.

50:50 good and bad staff at lobby bar, bar, and breakfast. That ruined 5-star experience, the hotel tried to claim.

Departure at 5am but not possible to settle the payment and get zero balance bill before midnight. - This level of professionalism I never experienced in 5 star hotels for 10-15 years but time to time happens in 3 star hotel where staff are not skillful enough to managed.

No sense of hospitality from most staff.

Big mistake to pay the price to stay here and will never again

We had an extremely agreeable stay at Le Burgundy Paris. Our accommodation, a duplex suite, was very spacious, and well decorated, the bed was super comfortable, breakfast and the restaurant were very nice, and also a superb location: walking distance from attractions like Le Louvre. I hope we will have a chance to go back there.
