AGENCE NATIONALE DE L'HABITAT
The National Habitat Agency, formerly the National Agency for Habitat Improvement, has retained the acronym Anah. This public body in France and the DOM-TOM aims to help improve private rental housing by awarding grants to owners who carry out work on safety, comfort, safety, equipment, accessibility and adaptation to persons with physical disabilities, energy saving and acoustic insulation. Since 2010, Anah has been refocused on the social issues that best characterize the private park today in three main clusters: the fight against the "undignified" and degraded habitat, the smallest owners-occupants with strong intervention in the fight against energy insecurity and taking into account the adaptation needs associated with the loss of autonomy, finally, the targeting of donor-landlords on dwellings showing a significant degree of degradation. To make the most of its aid to local situations, the Anah is present in each of the French departments through its integrated local delegation within the Regional Directorate of the Territories (DDT). It is set up as a partner in the local authorities, especially in the planned operations.
