The Mama Shelter range is developing this beautiful hotel in popular Paris: cosy rooms, "mama" atmosphere, iconic design!

This is where the Mama Shelter adventure, launched by Serge Trigano (son of Club Med's Gilbert) and designer Philippe Starck, began in 2008. A real break with the traditional hotel business at the time. Nous avons séjourné une nuit au Mama shelter avec ma maman. Nous avons aimé le design de l’hôtel, l’originalité, le fait qu’il y ait un parking souterrain, et surtout le petit déjeuner qui était extra. Les seules choses qui nous on un peu moins plu étaient peut être le personnel que nous avons trouvé (pour certains) moyennement professionnel et peu discret ... Egalement nous nous sommes sentis « pressées » au petit déjeuner avec le personnel qui rangeait tout le buffet une demi heure avant l’horaire de fin annoncé... Enfin la localisation, dans le 20e et loin de toute ligne de métro « utile », est évidemment loin d’être la plus pratique si vous êtes un touriste à Paris.

Hotel très design même si certains petits détails pourraient être améliorés (taille de la salle de bain), par ailleurs le restaurant/bar au rez de chaussée est idéal si l'on souhaite passé une soirée dans un cadre branché et conviviale.

Un endroit sympathique et original, vous y êtes très bien accueilli, tout en convivialité. Les chambres sont jolies et fonctionnelles. Une belle adresse dans le 20ème.
Je n'ai pas testé le restaurant qui me semblait très bruyant.

Hôtel original le long de l'ancienne ligne de chemin de fer "petite ceinture" (désaffectée). Ancien village Charonne avec une belle église.
Pour visiter Paris, pas très pratique : loin des stations de métro, seul une ligne de bus 76 va vers le centre. peu de restaurants dans le coin. Mort le soir. restaurant un peu cher
