SONG LONG PARIS 20 (VIET VO DAO)
Located in the middle of the 20 th arrondissement of Paris, Song Long Paris 20 remains one of the few club of Viet Vo Dao to practise the method that gave her his name, that is the Song Long method. Its particularity is that it is midway between external martial art (to combat) and internal martial art (to meditation). Founded in 2007 by Maya Byhan, a black belt 3rd dan and a single teacher, the club brings together 50 members all ages, making it a convivial and loving club. The courses take place in the dojo of the Louis Light gymnasium, which proudly displays its green protective carpets on the walls and on the ground. Groups, all levels mixed, gather 15 people on average. The course is always the same and closely follows the Song Long method. They begin with warm and continuous work of different techniques and then kuyens (equivalent to used in karate) followed by exercises of hardening and flexibility. They end with the battle sessions, the history of putting all the gains into practice. If you want to go further, the club also offers sessions that are closer to those found in the Tai Chi Chuan, that is, focus on breathing and meditation. Finally, internships to work the techniques of stick, sword and sword are regularly organised all year round.
