A Mur des Fédérés with a commemorative plaque, located in Paris, recounting the bloody massacre that took place there.
It's a small piece of history, to which many continue to pay homage every year. Indeed, the bloody episode of the Paris Commune in May 1871 had one of its most dramatic outcomes here. While the Versaillais and Communards were engaged in fierce fighting - which ended in victory for the former - 147 Paris Commune fighters were shot here, marking one of the last episodes of this veritable civil war, marked in the cemetery by a plaque that has become a symbol of Communard ideals for its supporters.
