Hokkaido is an island in northern Japan, not far from Russia. But it's also a good Japanese canteen, located on rue Chabanais. You can sit either on the first floor, with its open kitchen, or in the vaulted basement, where the atmosphere is more intimate. On the plates, you'll find all the great classics of Japanese cuisine: ramen (top-notch), gyoza, donburi... One of the best value for money in the area, and it's well known, as evidenced by the large number of people who flock here for lunch on weekdays and weekends.
