Johana's fish and chips is a lovely family story, and above all a cult British dish. Fish and chips, in this case breaded haddock served with French fries (or coleslaw) and tartar sauce, seems easy to make, but few can manage to offer a breading that's both light and crispy without being too fatty. At Johana's, the challenge is met with a smile and a variety of formulas. Other dishes on the menu include a fish burger, fish or chicken nuggets, and a chicken burger. Everything is homemade, fresh and of the highest quality.

Fish portion too small, just kids meal. Overpriced for such a small portion of fish for 16£90. Will not come again

Le lieu est tout petit, minuscule mais le fish&ships est très bon. Le même goût que celui de Cherbourg, Paimpol ou les villes de port de pêche. Le seul reproche que l’on peut faire, c’est la dose de frites ultra-calibrée servie dans une mini-bassine. Mais c’est une vraie bonne adresse avec de bons produits. C’est plutôt rare à l’ère du surgelé.

We grabbed take out from this small shop. The place was packed inside: a popular spot. The staff were super friendly, and spoke English which was great because my grade school French is very grade school. We just got the fish and chips, which was really well done. Not overly oily, which is always impressive with fish and chips. Looks like it would be a fun spot to eat it, was cramped and lively. Our apartment was nearby and we wanted to stay in, and it was great as take out.
