Restaurant-bistro with terrace in Paris preparing a careful brasserie menu and homemade charcuterie.
This Compas was already mentioned by Zola in Le Ventre de Paris. Located in the lively Rue Montorgueil, this urban bistro is popular for its pleasant terrace and round-the-clock service. The menu features all the brasserie basics: from escargots de Bourgogne to gratinée à l'oignon, from beef tartare to duck breast, from fish & chips to the now-ubiquitous half-cooked tuna tataki, from crème brûlée to chocolate moelleux, not forgetting, of course, the croque-monsieur and other burgers. A sure bet in the neighborhood.

I am a seasoned traveler and tip 20% consistently.
When every table receives water, bread, return visits and you don't you know that the server has a single diner issue.
Too bad as the food was good.
It was a normal Tuesday night and the restaurant was packed.
Kids rated the burger and grilled fish as best they have had.
All dishes tasted fantastic. Onion soup and beef are must orders.
Great vibe in the restaurant. All food came out quickly without any dramas. All clean plates went back.
Nous avons bien mangé
