Brasserie in Paris preparing well-crafted and generous traditional dishes.
The second brasserie, in order of opening, in La Nouvelle Garde, a stone's throw from Porte Saint-Denis. It followed on from Brasserie Bellanger, near the Gare du Nord station. This restaurant with its vitamin-rich decor - one of the group's trademarks - is always busy. And with good reason: here, you're sure to find generous, well-crafted traditional dishes, such as leek vinaigrette and sausage-purée (two mainstays of the menu), young service and a relaxed atmosphere, all for a very reasonable bill. We give it a thumbs-up.
