123 SÉBASTOPOL * * * *
A hotel steeped in cinema with rooms representing personalities and a dining room like a film set.
This hotel is entirely steeped in cinema. It is the choice of Architect Philippe Maindenberg who staged six personalities. After music at the Hôtel du Triangle d'Or, he attacked the 7 th art with the complicity of those he elected. For each he sought their religious objects. From the entrance you are placed in the bath. Names are listed at the top of the desk and film posters adorn the walls. We also feel like entering the lobby of a new York cinema. Each artist sees his universe declined in the rooms and on the floor. For Jean-Paul Belmondo it is boxing, theatre and cinema. For Jaoui-Bacri written writings on paper bistro tablecloths. For Elsa Zilberstein, a very feminine atmosphere, a little style Boudoir. At Danièle Thompson the atmosphere is colourful while at Claude Lelouch you can find film reels in the bathroom. For Ennio Morricone black and white enhanced blue indigo and on the walls of the partitions. A breakfast room is designed as a shooting tray with all its accessories. In the basement a perfect sound room has been set up. The hotel also has a terrace.

L’accueil est pro, la machine à café est trop petite pas grave un serveur arrive avec des cafés.
Pros :
- the stuff is very nice and always happy to help with anything.
- the rooms (we were in family room on the first floor) are big , well decorated and unique
- the hotel is very lovely and pleasant
- breakfast is great and varied
- free afternoon snacks and drinks are very nice addition (and of high quality)
- free soft drinks minibar was extremely welcomed by our kids
- they have a cinema on site which you can book for private screening
- big foosball in reception area is a nice addition
- our kids enjoyed the gym as well
- the location is good (close enough to public transportation and walkable distance to various spots)
Small items for improvement:
The hotel is really amazing but there are few small items that can make it perfect :
- Afternoon snacks are amazing if you are into sweets but there are no healthy options nor "real food". Having a soup or a sandwich there would make it really perfect.
- Making sure that key cards open internal rooms as well could save as finding ourselves stuck in the hallway , locked out of our rooms while another member was taking a shower.
- Our kids were extremely hyped about the option to go to the cinema there (which we discovered only on site) , but somehow two evenings had special events and cinema was unavailable, having known that in advance we would plan our time a little different.
After being to Paris lots of times and staying in various hotels (including other Astotel hotels and few Disney hotels) we really liked it and it would definitely be a strong consideration for our future Paris trips.
