In 1899 that Alfred Cartier, son and grandson of renowned jewellers, opened his prestigious shop at 13 rue de la Paix. Admired and respected for his huge know-how, he is the official supplier of several royal courtyards. Since then, the creations of this institution has not lost their excellence. The jewels are almost unreal of luxury and refinement, and prices are... unaffordable. Never mind, a detour via this historic shop - entirely restored like before in 2005 - is essential. It still has the private offices Louis Cartier, son of Alfred, founder of Cartier SA, French luxuous company that remains emblematic. The dome of its central hall was glazed so that you can see the jewellery workshops. Such a place propels us at the heart of luxury, elegance, creation and French know-how. Cartier is present in the chicest districts and has its corner in Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. The Cartier shops are known for jewellery: you can make your solitaire according to your wishes, and even a made-to-measure diadem! They also offer watches and perfumes, bags and glasses... luxuous of course.
