Straight out of a history book, the Library of the National Institute of Art History, located in the Richelieu quadrilateral, is one of the most impressive libraries in Paris. It is difficult to keep one's eyes on the works of art history and archaeology when one is in the heart of such a model of modern architecture designed by Henri Labrouste. Formerly the main reading room of the National Library, it houses under its nine domes more than one million documents accessible to cardholders.
