Dernier vestige du Palais Parisien des Ducs de Bourgogne. Il reste la plus haute tour médiévale de Paris, le grand escalier d'apparat ainsi que le décor végétal de sa voûte d'escalier. Un décor presque inchangé depuis six siècles.

La tour Jean Sans Peur est une tour édifiée au XV siècle par le duc Jean de Bourgogne dit Jean sans peur. Une tour qui était une forteresse militaire. C'est le dernier palais des ducs de Bourgogne et un souvenir du Paris médiéval qui retrace la vie quotidienne. L'escalier dont la voûte est magnifiquement sculptée est intéressante à observer. Un lieu à découvrir pour une visite qui vous sort de l’ordinaire. Tout public.

An absolute must for any person loving Paris and its history.

The tower built by John the Fearless is not only a well-preserved 600 years-old gothic structure. It is a symbol and witness of one of the most dramatic periods in the history of France.

It is also an exceptionally well organized museum, with concise and competent information panels guiding visitors through various aspects of the Duke's life in the early 15th century (in French with English summaries).

Make sure Tour Jean Sans Peur is on your top attractions list and spare at least one good hour for the visit.
