Small restaurant in Paris serving a buffet of mezze, a specialty: the Baghdad delight, meats and vegetables.

As it is not tomorrow the day before we will make tourism in Iraq, we found this tiny restaurant - the only one in Paris - to walk between Tiger and Euphrates, the two foster rivers that surround ancient Mesopotamia. Attention four unfortunate tables, it is better to arrive early. Side Deco, nothing exotic with stones and exposed beams doing more campaigning. Concerned, one wonders a little about what has happened in this Iraqi galley. But as the other would say, I'm still there. And there we discover a pleasant blend between Persian and Lebanese traditions. To start a mezze buffet that changes regularly, and following the specialty: the delights of Baghdad, a sort of round full of meat, small vegetables and cheese, accompanied by semolina. Not bad at all. If the presentation is not the fort of the house, the dishes are well cooked: The. of the lamb with rice and the tagine of beef to eggplant are dishes. The service is small onions, generous servings and prices ignore inflation. We can offer a very decent bottle of wine to less than 15 €.

We discovered this small Iraqi restaurant thanks to a guide. We went one Saturday evening. We arrived around 20:45, top was not full, foot closed.
The setting is friendly, lots of wood in dark colours, wall in the shape of Iraqi house at the end of the room. The welcome is too. First disconcerted by the absence of menu, with the Iraqi accent enumerates us specialties. With my loved one, we chose a little random but we were disappointed! The entrance was a mixed salad of various vegetables and granada.
For the dish, my loved one chose a sort of pie with almonds, prunes, beef, lamb and eggplant. A delight. I took the delight of Baghdad: a sort of meatloaf with eggplant served with semolina. I loved.
Dessert, unique, have is enough to me after this hearty meal: a cottage cheese syrup of dates.
I loved the dishes served during this evening. Management is both cuisine and only.
However, I found the room dusty and did not like " propreté" toilets.
