LE SLIP FRANÇAIS
The emblem of Made in France culture! Le Slip Français is a very young brand which, as its name suggests, is dedicated to men's and women's underwear. Its unusual advertising campaigns have created a buzz by throwing a bit of humour on the sale of lingerie products.
History. The adventure began in 2011 when its founder, Guillaume Gibault, launched a crazy challenge: to produce underwear. This young graduate of HEC Paris then launched a first order of 600 men's underwear and created his brand. The range of products is rapidly expanding to women and children, as well as other flagship products of French culture: Charentaise and marinières. The advertising campaigns of the Slip Français chant original and humorous slogans: "The change of briefs is now" during the presidential campaign, "The chef's surprise", or "The briefs that smell good". The brand also collaborates with other brands such as Princesse Tam-Tam, Claudie Pierlot and Agnès b. In January 2014, it opened its factory, then its first boutique in Paris in October of the same year. Today, the company's growth is strong and has almost doubled in four years. The French briefs, which will soon open four new boutiques in Lyon, Bordeaux, Lille and Cannes, still have a bright future ahead of them...
The products. In addition to its famous blue, white and red underwear, the brand also creates boxers, briefs, but also socks, swimwear, t-shirts, espadrilles and sweatshirts. Women can also wear the French Brief: panties, socks, sneakers and accessories.
Employment. 100 employees, half of them in Paris for €20 million in revenue in 2018. And 42 workshops throughout France that employ 152 employees and 16 shops in France, even though 70% of sales are made online.
