BBGR
BBGR has been a manufacturer of optical lenses for nearly 170 years. Its product range offers a wide choice of very high-tech lenses for all visual needs and frames. BBGR was one of the first glassmakers to see its high-end lenses certified by the Origine France Garantie label.
History. BBGR was created in 1846 and gave birth to its first progressive lens in 1974: Zoom. Proven and tested, the quality of BBGR lenses guarantees precise vision and the best visual comfort. Its Zoom progressive lens has won several awards (Silmo d'Or in 1995 and 2001, and Pont d'Or in 2002). In 2005, the manufacturer equipped its lenses with the anti-reflective option, and two years later, it created the first progressive lens that takes into account the anatomy of the eye. In 2013, BBGR will launch Neva Max UV, an option for transparency and long-term protection. It is also one of the first lens manufacturers to reduce manufacturing times on progressive lenses and the first to offer a complete range of double-surface digital surfacing lenses. Finally, BBGR was the first to take very precise measurements on a touch pad using its EyeMio technology. Moreover, thanks to its accumulated human and technical know-how, BBGR Provins is now the largest lens development and production centre in Europe.
The products. Progressive lenses, single vision lenses, mid-distance lenses, sunglasses and polarizers, photochromic lenses and screen ranges.
