Museum preserving paintings, sculptures and various treasures of the century, installed in the Donon Hotel in the heart of Paris.
The Musée Cognacq-Jay is housed in the charming Hôtel Donon (16th and 17th centuries). It houses the collections of the couple Ernest Cognacq and Marie-Louise Jay, who created the Samaritaine department stores in the late 19th century. The Cognacq-Jay family's love affair with 18th-century France led them to collect numerous treasures from this period. Bequeathed to the City of Paris in 1928, their collections have been accessible to the public ever since. The museum also hosts a number of temporary exhibitions.

Préférez une visite matinale ou en début d'après-midi car les lieux sont exigus et en cas d'affluence, difficile d'accéder aux vitrines.
