A museum dedicated to the history of Paris, with a rich collection of remarkable pieces.

Renovated in the early 2020s, this museum is a must-see. Situated in the heart of the Marais district, this museum dedicated to the history of Paris boasts a wealth of collections: drawings, sculptures, paintings, objects from prehistory to the present day... Highlights include the Neolithic pirogues of Bercy, the Saint-Eloi scroll, signs from the 16th to 20th centuries, photographs by Nadar, Doisneau and Cartier-Bresson... The current temporary exhibition explores the city's relationship with the Seine: fascinating!

A museum very provided and interesting to discover the city of Paris through its painters and its brands. And it is free! Not to be missed!

Very interesting museum that retraces the history of cheap in Paris. Recontitutions very interesting of interiors from different eras, exhibition of old iron signs and many paintings which bear witness to the changes to the centuries and the évemenents marked with its history. The place, a magnificent mansion, is in itself worth that you go there.
