CELLIER MÉDIÉVAL DE LA MAISON D'OURSCAMP-
For over 50 years, the Paris historique association has been campaigning for the preservation and protection of Paris's architectural districts and monuments.
It is located in the heart of the Marais district, in the 16th-century Maison d'Ourscamp, itself built on a medieval cellar built by the Cistercian monks of the abbey of the same name in the Oise region.
Today's house is one of the oldest in Paris. It has preserved :
Its 13th-century Gothic cellar, currently being restored; The first floor and upper floors, built around 1585, have been largely preserved: the facade, staircases, wooden structure and roof are all original; The courtyard behind the building has retained its original timber-framed walls, as well as its two corbelled privies.
The Gothic cellar, wooden staircase, facade and roof are all listed historic monuments.

Message from Management
Created in 1963, the Association pour la Sauvegarde et la Mise en Valeur du Paris Historique has two complementary missions:
Safeguarding and promoting historic Paris;
Disseminate knowledge and promote Parisian heritage to the general public.
Committed to the preservation and enhancement of historic Paris
Paris historique's mission is to preserve Paris's built heritage so that it continues to blend harmoniously into the capital of today and tomorrow.
It's a challenge that the association, its volunteers and members have been meeting since 1963. Born of the dynamism of the Festival du Marais, Historic Paris is a non-profit association under the French law of 1901.
While respecting the sensitivities of each individual, Paris historique works to protect the neighborhoods of Paris. To this end, it promotes an open conception of urban balance. Thanks to the presence of its president, Grégory Chaumet, on the various institutional safeguard commissions, Historic Paris remains vigilant with regard to construction and demolition projects, as well as to the mix of architectural, social and commercial uses in the neighborhoods (notably against the encroachment of mono-activity).
Recognized for its expertise, our association is the last independent association for the defense of Parisian heritage to sit on the following bodies:
Commission du Vieux Paris;
Commission départementale de la nature, des paysages et des sites.
An association that promotes Parisian heritage to the general public
The Paris historique association is also committed to promoting the heritage of Paris to the general public: Parisians, visitors, tourists and schoolchildren. Our team of volunteers works hard every day to bring the Maison d'Ourscamp to life, and to organize our many activities: heritage cafés, urban rallies, guided tours and conferences, as well as our activities as part of the European Heritage Days (JEP).
