Parisian bistro with a lovely welcome, traditional home-made cuisine and a menu of fresh products.
On the Saint Louis Island, in the heart of Paris, it is good to walk. But when it comes to bread, not always easy to avoid tourist traps… In Louis IX, nothing to fear! We are here in a genuine Parisian bistro, with traditional homemade cuisine. First good point, the reception is adorable, with a waitress as friendly as efficient. And the boss, Gilles Bessoles, who married a aveyronnaise, will know about the Ile St Louis with passion. Second good, the card is short, supplemented with a slate with two dishes of the day and two desserts, guarantee of fresh products. The third good thing, the bread is a fresh, crisp wand. On the menu, it smells good Auvergne and French soil! Veined tête, ardoise of Auvergne ham and plate of sausage of Auvergne, but mainly cooked meat, all of French origin (Aubrac, Salers and charolaise). Cœur for the rumsteak and pepper sauce, but also for duck magret or tartar. Glaces Glaces and Sherbet (at correct prices!), a must, and pancakes and dessert waffles. When you hear the boss throwing "to tomorrow" two accustomed people who have just eaten it, we're saying we too would do our lunch canteen if you lived next door.
