Café with terrace in Paris serving brunch, traditional Parisian brasserie dishes, cheese board.

If the name rings a bell, it's because this Café des Phares was the first philosophical café in the capital, and indeed in France. Late-morning debates were held every Sunday, often attracting packed crowds. This is no longer the case. But this brasserie remains one of the flagship establishments on the Place de la Bastille, offering the chance to sip a beer or dine with a full view of the Génie de la liberté. The menu is classic, offering the usual Parisian bistro fare.

personnel irrespectueux et agressif, cela ne mérite même pas une étoile, dans un poke ball à 16 € ou il été censé y avoir du saumon il y’avait presque que de la salade vert, et il a fallu attendre 20 minutes avant qu’on vienne prendre notre commande, je ne recommande pas du tout

Je recommande vivement ce restaurant.
Prix abordable.
Bien situé sur la place de la bastille.
