REMPART
Associative movement for the preservation of heritage and public education, born in 1966. The member associations of the REMPART Union all share the desire to restore and safeguard a heritage element and to revive it. Today, the Union brings together more than 170 local and regional associations. REMPART organises workshops for the restoration of heritage and rehabilitation of the environment, especially in rural areas, in partnership with French and foreign associations. In addition, REMPART offers training courses for people who want to become facilitators or who wish to specialize.
What are they proposing? REMPART proposes several types of missions primarily focused on restoration and enhancement of heritage : stone size, survey, coating, wall paintings, masonry, interior fittings, garden, enluminure…
Where? Algeria, Germany, Belgium, Belarus, Canada, United States, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Morocco, Czech Republic, Sweden, Portugal, United Kingdom, Russia, Vietnam.
Prices and conditions. Building open from 13 years of age, but you need to be major to go abroad. The duration is variable, but volunteers leave at least 15 days. Missions are usually conducted in the summer. Registration fees are valid for 1 year. Participation in the living expenses (variable according to the building) is requested and must be settled on site. Some missions require some experience of construction. Possibility to go to Civic Service for a period of 6 to 12 months.
