Orthodox Jewish place of worship, the synagogue of the cobbled street, with a surprising concrete facade, high and narrow
This orthodox Jewish cult site was built in 1913 in the very close vicinity of the rue des Rosiers. Designed on Hector Guimard's plans, he has an astonishing, high and narrow concrete facade. It is a new Art nouveau style, a very modern aesthetic that this architect is one of the striking figures. This synagogue underwent renovation after being damaged in 1941 during the German occupation.
