The Shoah Memorial, a vibrant place of remembrance that tells the story of the Jews of France during the Second World War.
The Holocaust Memorial tells the tragic story of the Jews of France during the Second World War. In addition to this museum section, you can discover the crypt, where ashes of victims collected in the death camps and in the ruins of the Warsaw Ghetto are intermingled, the Wall of Names, which lists the 76,000 Jews deported from France, and the Wall of the Righteous (outside), which lists the 3,000 non-Jewish people who helped save their brothers and sisters. The site also organises temporary exhibitions, meetings and conferences.

Open all year round. Annual closures: January 1, May 1, July 14, August 15, December 25 and some Jewish holidays: see website. Daily 10am-6pm; Thursdays 10am-10pm. Nocturne Thursdays until 10pm. Free admission. Children welcome. Guided tours (of the institution and the permanent exhibition: free, every Sunday at 3pm. Duration 1h30). Bookshop. Animations. Bookshop. Workshops. Library. Documentation center open every day except Saturday from 10am to 5:30pm, and on Thursday until 7:30pm.
