L'HÔTEL D'AUMONT - THE ADMINISTRATIVE COURT OF PARIS
It was the advice of King Michel-Antoine Scarron that this hotel was built on the plans of Le Vau between 1644 and 1648. Acquired by his son-in-law the Duke of Aumont, marshal of France, the building is enlarged by François Mansart. From the 1938 th century, it became a town hall, a boarding house, and then houses services from the central pharmacy, before being bought by the City in. Finally, the Paris Administrative Court settled there in 1959. The hotel comprises three courtrooms and offices in richly decorated spaces. Outside, the hotel features mascarons, wrought iron balconies… Note that its southern facade overlooks gardens and the Seine.
