THE SULLY BRIDGE
A rare cast iron structure, a bridge made up of two bridges built in continuation of each other in Paris.
The Pont de Sully is named after Henri IV's great minister, Maximilien de Béthune, Duc de Sully. The structure was inaugurated in 1877 and designed by engineers Vaudrey and Brosselin. It is 160 metres long and comprises three arches. The bridge actually consists of two bridges built as extensions of each other. This rare cast-iron structure is located at the southern tip of the Île Saint-Louis. The latter is occupied by the Square Barye, a charming little green space where you can stop off for a stroll.
