The mission of this leading centre for European photography is to disseminate and preserve contemporary photography. The permanent collection covers the period from the late 1950s to the present day, and includes more than 15,000 works from international photographic production (Robert Frank, Raymond Depardon, Irving Penn, Henri Cartier-Bresson, etc.). It is complemented by numerous temporary exhibitions. The centre also houses an auditorium, a library and a video library.
