Living space, gallery, museum, and innovation centre built in 1706, offering three exhibition seasons a year in Paris.
The mission of this leading centre for European photography is to disseminate and preserve contemporary photography. The permanent collection covers the period from the late 1950s to the present day, and includes more than 15,000 works from international photographic production (Robert Frank, Raymond Depardon, Irving Penn, Henri Cartier-Bresson, etc.). It is complemented by numerous temporary exhibitions. The centre also houses an auditorium, a library and a video library.

Manque cruel d'explications, sur les périodes artistiques, la vie des artistes, leurs œuvres et transitions.
Il ne s'agit pas des premiers tirages illustrés. Ainsi le visiteur paie €8 pour contempler des posters qu'il aurait pu lui-même sélectionner et imprimer, ne s'agissant pas de sculptures ou peintures.
Au moins offrir l'accès gratuit aux étudiants, demandeurs d'emploi, et autres personnes en difficulté financière.
