Living space, gallery, museum, and innovation centre built in 1706, offering three exhibition seasons a year in Paris.

The mission of this leading centre for European photography is to disseminate and preserve contemporary photography. The permanent collection covers the period from the late 1950s to the present day, and includes more than 15,000 works from international photographic production (Robert Frank, Raymond Depardon, Irving Penn, Henri Cartier-Bresson, etc.). It is complemented by numerous temporary exhibitions. The centre also houses an auditorium, a library and a video library.

Véritable temple parisien de la photographie, la M.E.P propose des expositions temporaires de qualité sur cinq niveaux (sous-sol, rdc, 1er étage, 2ème étage et 3ème étage).

Un lieu super pour découvrir de grands noms de la photo anciens ou nouveaux. Les expos sont bien faites et le tarif d'entrée n'est pas excessif. Bref à faire, et pas qu'une fois!

Si vous aimez la photographie, vous y découvrirez toujours le travail d' artistes connus ou moins connus. J'y ai fait souvent de belles rencontres artistiques. Les expos changent assez souvent. Le quartier (le Marais) est aussi fort agréable.

Un endroit à visiter régulièrement car les expositions changent 3 - 4 fois par ans. Souvent on trouvent le travail de photographes surprenants que on ne connaitra pas forcement par soi-même. Mercredi soir c'est gratuit!
