Address in Paris offering Korean cuisine, various meats with different sauces, octopus in marinade.
Sandwiched between station brasseries, Auvergne restaurants and quick food outlets, this Korean restaurant is something of a UFO. The menu is not only tempting, but also light on price. The setting has undoubtedly retained the decor of the previous Parisian bistro: red moleskin banquettes and terracotta floor tiles. But the cuisine is authentically Korean, with the bibimbaps, so popular with the French, based on rice, mixed vegetables and eggs, which can be served almost endlessly and in any sauce with a variety of meats or just vegetables, and Boulogogi, the famous Korean barbecues of thinly marinated beef... For starters, the fresh pear with shrimp and sweet mustard sauce is really tempting. Monsieur is in the kitchen and Madame in the dining room. Next, the bibimbaps set the tone : the Déstressant is based on octopus in a chili marinade, flavored with sesame oil, the light is obviously vegetarian, while the Vitalité is made with pork loin in a chili marinade, flavored with sesame oil. With a smile on her face, she helps customers navigate their way through all the names on the menu. The advantage of this cuisine is its dietetic aspect: no fats, no glutamates, no sauces to spice up and, above all, distort the taste. Here, all these values are perfectly respected. It's simple and well done.
