Restaurant with a grocery store and wine bar where you can enjoy bistro dishes with the kitchen changing every day.
This eclectic place combines a restaurant with a grocery store and a wine bar. It is a bit the ancestor of all the dining cellars that have opened for some years. Here, the cuisine changes every day and is composed on the slate depending on the produce found in the market by Bertrand Bluy and his chef Ulric Claude but Tom for his friends. The South-West is often honoured but they favour, above all, fresh and seasonal produce, and it is a success. What is pleasant here is that you can tirelessly come here every day. You can treat yourself to bistro dishes like duck foie gras in the traditional way, pan-fried black pudding or pan-fried sweetbreads. We gently recommend you the wine from a wide selection of excellent producers and you can also serve yourself on a nearby pot. In short, everything is done so as to have your taste buds delighted every second, so that you can be full, happy and conquered when leaving the place.

Superb fixed meal! Must book way ahead. Always go when we are in Paris!

I visit Les Papilles everytime I’m in Paris and it never disappoints! The food is simply spectacular.

This hidden spot masterfully captures the essence of French cuisine, delivering a gastronomic experience that surpasses expectations. Les Papilles offers an intimate setting with closely arranged tables, showcasing a small yet exquisite menu. We tried the “Return from the market” dinner menu.
The soup, a masterpiece in itself, boasted a creamy texture. The main course was beef shoulder cooked in wine with vegetable and boiled potatoes. It was juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. As a wine cellar primarily, the option to pair a carefully chosen wine with the meal was a delightful touch. You could also opt to order a glass of red/white wine, but the choice is limited. The French blue cheese and the pear panna cotta dessert was a showstopper, leaving a lingering sweetness. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
The place however did lack some attentive care to the customer. A periodic check on customer satisfaction or the need for adjustments in the dish would have enhanced the overall experience.
