PAR'ICI
Finding a gift shop that does not only sell trinkets made in China in the heart of the touristic area, is possible thanks to Par'ici shop. Founded in 1992 by Desiree Taieb a true Parisian born in Mouffetard Street, this small shop is set in a listed historic building, close to the ruins of an ancient Gallo-Roman cemetery. The trader, very proud of her origins, is always happy to tell her customers about the history of the neighbourhood, while her son Sebastian is in charge of sales. Desiree, always with a smile, gives plenty of advice to her customers on her products, entirely of French production, "out of respect for tourists", she says. Another good point is that the prices are unbeatable for they start from 1 € and do not go above 40 €... What a good deal!
