ASSOCIATION LE SOUFFLE9

Since September 2005, Le Souffle 9 offers leisure and holidays for young people between the ages of 10 and 20 in difficulty, struggling with various problems (autism, behavioural or personality disorders). Souffle 9 is part of the duration by playing a stable role of relay space with families and institutions. Since the creation of the association, many young people have been able to be welcomed into Le Souffle 9, benefiting from the action of some facilitators who have received adequate training and regularly conduct brainstorming sessions on their practices. The leisure and holidays offered are divided between:

Saturday Culture and Recreation: twice a month on Saturday between 10 a. m. and 17 p. m., in Paris or near the outskirts, focusing on culture (museum, painting, sculpture, theatre…) but also sporting leisure (ice skating, climbing, swimming pool…) in total security (3 monitors for 6 young people).

Weekends: organised from Friday 18 h to Sunday 18 h in the association of the association in Garencières, Normandy, for 6 young and 3 supervisors, in a family atmosphere, with the emphasis placed on the participation of everyone in the collective life, with the idea of allowing the young person to be an actor of his weekend and to be free to become a security.

Les Séjours: during school holidays, over a week, following weekly programmes with young people, like weekly menus and the distribution of household chores, and, as for weekends, a telephone helpline to connect with families. In other regions of France (Brittany, North, Champagne…) there are themed stays (sailing, skiing…) with reception of young people and supervisors in Gîtes de France.
