94.8 – RCJ
Radio J was born in 1981 under the name of Radio Community at the time of the outbreak of the so-called "free" radios created by the Unified Jewish Social Fund (FSJU), a central body in the areas of solidarity and identity of the Jewish community. The first pioneers were a small «nucleus» of journalists from the magazine «l'Arche» - a large part of which still remains in place today - who competed for this new media and embarked on an adventure that has continued to develop over the last years. Today, Jewish life in France could not conceive without the presence of the radio. Rigour: as soon as it was created, Radio J has assigned itself an objective of professional rigour. For this reason, it has ensured the collaboration of journalists from various backgrounds and continues to be closely associated with the life of the station. Pluralism: venue of meetings and exchanges, Radio J is open to all forms of individual, associative or institutional expressions, reflecting the richness and vitality of French Judaism at local and national level. Opening: because it has the ambition to address a wider, Jewish and non-Jewish audience, Radio J speaks the language of all, without ostracism and without exclusivity.
