MARCHÉ MAUBERT
The first known Parisian market is the market Palu, which was held from the Fifth century near the Petit Bridge, on the island of the Cité. A few centuries later, it is moved to "periphery" on the current location of Michel square. Concentrated on the square and its immediate surroundings, this market is very user-friendly and teeming with a very diverse population. There are many foreigners living in the neighbourhood. The caterer Christian Pelletier is a "good", his sauerkraut is really goûteuse. Fruit Delights offers past fruits and vegetables and flowers to eat. Note: a bio dealer, a salt and mustard stand, a Breton product and a tripier.
