VOLEVATCH
Located in Tully, Picardy, the historic cradle of tapware since the 16th century, Volevatch is one of the last remaining craftsmen in art tapware. For 40 years, father and son have been doing this work as high goldsmiths, which has earned them the distinction of being very quickly awarded the Entreprise du patrimoine vivant award, and being the first company to be included in the inventory of rare arts crafts as part of UNESCO's efforts to safeguard the cultural and intangible heritage.
History. It all began in 1975 with a happy coincidence. Serge Volevatch, an urban planner, fell in admiration in front of an authentic 19th century tinned copper bathtub that he undertook to restore. His passion for the art of bathing was born. Before his peers' success and recognition, it was his decisive meeting with Rudolf Nureyev that would be the starting point for his dazzling reputation. At the request of the star dancer, he designed a bathroom entirely composed of 19th century antiques that he restored and adapted to contemporary standards. This providential adventure will be the starting point for prestigious collaborations with major institutions such as the Château de Versailles or famous luxury brands such as Guerlain, Tiffany's or L'Oréal... Today, the most prestigious customers around the world demand the Volevatch signature, synonymous with luxury, excellence and beauty.
The products. A master in the art of restoring old taps, Volevatch has created its own brand combining authentic style and modern functionality. He designs each shower, faucet, towel warmer, bathtub and accessories as a work of art.
