Indonesian restaurant in Paris offering well mastered dishes, exotic cuisine, fragrant and colorful desserts.
It is a true tip of Indonesia in the heart of one of the oldest neighborhoods of Paris. The Luxembourg garden and boulevard Saint-Michel are just a few steps away and, in line with the student and intellectual tradition of the premises, this Indonesian restaurant is not exactly like the others. He was born in 1982 of the will of four French and four Indonesians who wanted to create jobs for political refugees whose diplomas were not recognised in France. They organised themselves in SCOP (Cooperative Society of Production) in order to integrate their compatriots while offering their country's cuisine in the purest tradition and in a typical setting, masks on the walls. The dishes, not very numerous and perfectly mastered, make the most of the essentials of this particularly exotic cuisine: Sumatra's padang rendang is a coconut beef simmered, au, citronella and turmeric, slightly recorded. It is the only dish listed in UNESCO's cultural heritage. The Kambing Kambing of Java is a lamb curry has cardamom, milled coriander and cinnamon, for lovers of original curries, slightly recovered or a delicious, désarêté and fried whole bar, stuffed with coconut and turmeric rice, served with its soy sauce to shallots and sweet peppers (the ikan bandeng goreng of Borneo). The gourmands will choose for tasting menus. All dishes of the card are gathered in one (huge) plate that you will be brave to finish without the charitable help of your neighbours. The desserts allow for the smooth completion of this gentle culinary journey with a pleasing dadar dadar (crepe parfumée and coloured crepe with pandang leaves, stuffed coconut and caramel, served with its current ice) or a pisang kolar (bananes bananes caramel, cinnamon, clou & coconut clou). Is it necessary to specify that everything is home, with fresh products and without glutamate? After testing it, you can see that gourmets have been dining for more than 30 years in the warm surroundings of Indonesia, whether it be a trip, a trip between friends or even a business lunch in peace.
