Created by a friend of Jean Cocteau, this restaurant with its cosy and warm atmosphere has always attracted personalities from all over the world. Specializing in bouillabaisses, fish of all kinds, oysters and seafood, La Méditerranée offers quality products of extreme freshness. Regular customers enjoy a cuisine that is well cooked and sometimes not lacking in originality. Beautiful wine list aligning beautiful houses. The view of the Odeon theater adds a bit of history to this address which is already full of it.

Le niveau du service ne correspondait absolument pas au qualité de la cuisine. Ceci perputait l'experience fortement: Melange de differente bouteilles de vin, sans gouter les bouteilles suivantes, les gracons trés jeun(e)s servaient comme à la maisons, on passe les plats du bout de la table....incroyable - cet été, c'était loin du standard des années précedantes

Joli cadre au coeur du quartier latin, carte plutot poissons mais quality de cuisine plutot decevant surtout la bouillebaisse - bcp de pommes de terre, tres peu variety de poisons

Not as good as we expected
We came here and had lunch inside because of the weather; our entrée were two "Seiche sautée, Lard fumé, Oeuf Parfait" and was very, very deceiving! The main courses were better, "Sole Bretonne Meunière" that we find good, although nothing really special. The "Purée de Pommes de Terre" that came with them was also tasty. Good white wine and nice staff.
