A small bar-brasserie with a terrace offers a decent and affordable cuisine, around the Place Saint-Michel.
A small bar-brasserie unpretentious and original, but which offers a correct kitchen (which is not much the case around Saint Michel Square) and affordable (which is even less so). During the day, the neighborhood's regulars come and eat one of the simple proposals on the map, from fish and chips to the fowl. It is rather rich and fast served. In summer, a beautiful terrace offers a nice view of the fountain.

Personnel SUPER Agréable, on se sent bien presque comme à la maison, les plats sont tous super bon surtout le burger qui est à tomber je recommande grandement cette établissement.

Nous y sommes allées un lundi soir, nous aurions mieux fait de nous abstenir. Le serveur a été exécrable du début à la fin. Il ne nous a pas proposé la carte des desserts et quand nous l'avons reclamée, il nous a dit que la cuisine était fermée. La porte donnant sur la terrasse a été laissée ouverte laissant entrer un air glacial. Notre charmant serveur a fini par nous mettre dehors à 22h15, visiblement très pressé de rentrer chez lui. Je vous rassure, nous avons bien ressenti que nous vous dérangions. Enfin, le vin blanc proposé nous a complètement tapé sur la tête. Je vous suggère de fermer le lundi soir plutôt que de recevoir des clients dans ces conditions.

We had a wonderful experience at Le Rive Gauche. We ventured inside for breakfast one day and came back for breakfast and lunch three more times in the next week. The fresh croissants with fig jam (a must!) are divine. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm, upbeat, and very inviting. The proprietor is lovely, kind, and very attentive, as is the rest of the serving staff. I could not recommend this place enough.

What a fabulous French experience! We had one delicious breakfast and one lunch and both did not disappoint! Damian the owner, brings his Frenchie Ruby to work with him each day! She makes a lovely addition to the family business! Merci Damian, pour l’excellent service! We will be back in the spring! Charlie and Peter. Canada
